EMI Savers ("we", "us", "our") operates the website www.emisavers.com and provides loan advisory and distribution services in India. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently. This policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1.1 Information you provide to us
- Identity details: name, date of birth, gender, photographs, PAN, Aadhaar (only where legally permitted and with your consent), passport or other KYC documents.
- Contact details: postal address, email address and phone number.
- Financial details: income, employment or business information, bank statements, salary slips, income-tax returns, existing loan obligations and requested loan details.
- Communications: messages sent through our contact forms, emails, phone calls (which may be recorded for quality and training) and chat interactions.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent, links clicked and referring website.
- Device data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system and screen resolution.
- Cookies: small text files used to remember preferences and measure site performance (see Section 6).
1.3 Information from third parties
- Credit information companies: credit reports and scores from RBI-licensed bureaus (such as CIBIL, Experian, Equifax or CRIF High Mark), obtained with your consent.
- Lending partners: application status, sanction and disbursal details for loans you apply for through us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data only for legitimate purposes connected to our services:
- To assess your loan requirement and check eligibility across our lending partners;
- To share your application, with your consent, with banks and NBFCs best suited to your profile;
- To verify your identity and comply with Know Your Customer (KYC), anti-money-laundering (AML) and other legal obligations;
- To communicate with you about your application, offers, EMIs and service updates;
- To improve our website, products and customer experience;
- To prevent, detect and investigate fraud or misuse of our services; and
- To send you marketing communications about relevant products — only where you have opted in, and with an easy opt-out in every message.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the basis of (a) your explicit consent, obtained at the time of collection; (b) performance of the services you request; (c) our legal and regulatory obligations, including directions of the Reserve Bank of India; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business, balanced against your rights. You may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 8; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
4. Who We Share Your Information With
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Lending partners: RBI-regulated banks and NBFCs, solely to process the loan applications you authorise;
- Credit information companies: to obtain your credit report with your consent, and as required under the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005;
- Service providers: KYC verification, cloud hosting, analytics and communication providers bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
- Legal and regulatory authorities: where disclosure is required by law, court order or a government or regulatory direction; and
- Successors in business: in the event of a merger, acquisition or restructuring, subject to the same protections as this policy.
5. Data Security
We follow reasonable security practices and procedures as required under Indian law, including 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, periodic vulnerability assessments and employee confidentiality obligations. While we work hard to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please also protect your own account credentials and one-time passwords (OTPs). EMI Savers will never ask you to share your OTP, full card number or account password over phone or email.
6. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to keep the site working smoothly, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our pages. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some site features. We use both session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them).
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Loan-related records are retained in line with RBI guidelines and applicable statutes (typically 5–10 years after account closure). Data no longer required is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Withdraw consent previously given, without affecting past processing;
- Request erasure of data no longer required for the stated purposes or by law;
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and
- Register a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, write to our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 11. We will respond within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
9. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to lender websites and other third-party services. This policy applies only to EMI Savers; we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. Please review their policies before sharing your data.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
